Hello Everyone,
My name is Joao Crus and today I want to share with you my personal experience about bullying.
When I was just 9 years old, I was a victim of bullying. It started off with small things, like kids making fun of my appearance or calling me names. But as time went on, it escalated into physical violence and emotional manipulation. I remember being afraid to go to school and feeling completely alone and helpless.
This experience had a profound impact on my life. It affected my self-esteem, my confidence, and my overall well-being. I was scared to stand up for myself and I felt like I had no one to turn to for help. It wasn’t until I started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that things began to change for me.
Jiu-Jitsu taught me more than just self-defense techniques. It taught me discipline, focus, and most importantly, it gave me the confidence to stand up for myself. I learned that It’s not just about physical strength, but also mental and emotional strength.
Today, I want to use my experience to help empower kids who may be going through a similar situation. I want to show them that they have the power to overcome bullying and to heal from it. I believe that every kid has the potential to be a warrior, not in a sense of fighting back, but in the sense of standing up for themselves and others.
Bullying can leave lasting scars on a person, but with the right tools and mindset, those scars can be turned into strength. That’s why I believe in teaching jiu-jitsu. It’s not about promoting violence or retaliation, but about promoting confidence and resilience.
So if you or someone you know is experiencing bullying, know that you are not alone and you are stronger than you think. Seek help and support from trusted adults, and consider learning Jiu-Jitsu as a way to build your inner warrior. Remember, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not just about fighting, it’s about self-improvement and becoming the best version of yourself.
